In New York, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across New York on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around New York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I visited Stage Door Pizza for my very first taste of authentic New York pizza, and it absolutely did not disappoint! The Pizza: We tried their classic thin-slice style and went all out by getting the Supreme; the one loaded with the most toppings. Every single bite was incredibly delicious. We got the 18 inch pie and it was enough for three people to get one slice each. With one slice left over. The slices are big. The Sides: We also tried the Stuffed Hippie Rolls with spinach, it didnβt compare to the pizza, but it was still delicious! I didnβt know what a hippie roll was but itβs just a Stromboli with a different name. The Atmosphere: We walked in at a great time because it wasn't crowded at all, which made for a really relaxed and comfortable experience. For my first ever New York slice, I couldn't have asked for a better meal. Highly recommended if you want a delicious, satisfying bite in the city!

Right across from the Oculus Mall, itβs a great quiet spot with a nice view. I ordered the βgrandmaβ a thin crust Sicilian. It was amazing. $5 for the slice, $10 for the 24 oz Stella draft. I would definitely come here again. Great service. Very quick too.

Great pizza by the slice. Food is good and prices decent. The only negative is that you have to walk quite a few stairs to get there. It a good place to stop before or after your visit to the 911 memorial and Oculus.

I don't understand the bad reviews. I've ate pizza all around the world and this stood out by a mile. The pizza in Napoli didn't even come close. I asked a local outside where the best pizza was and he pointed straight to the stage door. He said please get the pepperoni you won't be disappointed. It was amazing. 8x better than Joe's pizza. I've been back home from NY for over a year and I still think about this pizza.

Tried this combo deli/pizza parlor after visiting the 9/11'memorial and this is a very cool place! The lower level is a full deli and the upper level serves pizza π. You can sit on either lever once you purchase your meal so there's bound to be seating but I will tell you that during our meal, the place was packed so be aware you may have to wait during high traffic times! My everything bagel with tuna fish was delicious, as was the canoli we had for dessert! The staff was very friendly, the restaurant was clean and the overall feel was friendly and welcoming. Try this place!
